I am happy for a table to be setup wherever you prefer within the venue. This could be in the area where the reception drinks are held, or in a main room or corridor... it really depends on the venue! As evening falls, I do require a well-lit room or a location near a plug socket to use my light, ensuring that I can continue to provide high-quality work even in lower lighting conditions.
To help me create the best possible artwork on the day, I kindly ask that my illustration table is set up indoors. If an outdoor space is preferred, please make sure it is a sheltered spot to protect my art and materials.
Please ensure the venue is notified in advance that I will need a table providing (min 4ft wide).
Guests mean... guests! I charge per guest rather than per illustration. So if you book a 50 guest package, 50 people will be painted. This can be a combination of couples, families or solo illustrations!
For wedding live illustration, I offer a 5 or 8 hour package, with coverage ending no later than 9pm. These packages do not include the set up/pack down time. If you prefer for me to finish just before evening guests arrive, please let me know in the personalised questionnaire.
For my A6 live illustrations, the maximum I can paint is usually around 6 people per painting! I try to encourage guests to take smaller group photos so more illustrations are created.
Booking a live Illustration package with me is a straightforward process. Simply send me a message/email with your wedding venue location and date so I can check availability. Once I confirm, please choose which illustration package best suits you. I will then send you a service agreement for signing. To secure your booking, a £150 deposit will be required.
Absolutely! All Illustrations painted on the day will be on display for your guests to take home at the end of the night as their unique wedding favours! I will take a photo of each painting to ensure you get to see all the illustrations after the wedding.
My diary is open for bookings up to 2 years in advance. If your wedding or event is within this timeframe, I highly recommend booking as soon as possible to ensure your date is reserved. Keep in mind, your booking will only be confirmed once the contract has been signed and a deposit is paid.
Based in Nottingham, I predominantly cover the Midlands, however I do travel to other areas. If your venue is within a 15-mile radius of Wilford, there is no extra travel cost. For venues outside of this radius, please message me with the details of your venue, and I will provide you with a tailored travel cost. For venues located more than 90 miles away, an overnight stay may be required and will be discussed as part of the booking.
Of course not! It's a fun opportunity to share my creative process and it often sparks wonderful conversations. Whether they just take a curious glance or engage in a discussion about the process, I welcome and enjoy the interaction!
3 months before the wedding, I send a questionnaire to personalise your service. One of these questions is 'in what order should I paint people?'. You can either opt for a "first come, first serve" basis, where I paint as photos are taken. Alternatively, you can opt to either prioritise the bridal/groom party, or the general guests.
I try to avoid working from 'priority guest lists', as this takes time away from creating and can create a less relaxed atmosphere.
I will do my upmost to get as many guests painted on the day as possible. I paint on average 5/6 people an hour depending on the complexity of the guests outfits, how many photos I need to take on the day and how interactive your guests are!
If I don’t manage to illustrate all your guests on the day, I will finish the remaining paintings in my studio and these will be posted along with your framed illustration. These illustrations are perfect to pop in with thank you cards after your wedding!
Absolutely! I offer Live Illustration outside of peak wedding season for a variety of events, including big birthday and anniversary parties, balls, corporate events, proms, hen do's, and more. Please message me with event details for pricing options.
I will send Terms and Conditions when booking which will include all further details you may need.
I always recommend booking a package slightly under your day guest number. The reason for this is that not everyone may approach me for an illustration. However, If more guests come forward on the day, I’m happy to take photos and complete the extra illustrations later in my studio for £10 per guest.
If you don’t know your exact day guest numbers when booking, that is not a problem! You can book and decide your package at a later date.
